Our products and systems are specified by leading architects, engineers, interior designers and lighting consultants, and sold through retail channels, electrical wholesalers, A/V integrators, A/V distributors and lighting showrooms. Lutron manufactures its products in six locations worldwide.

We have an outstanding opportunity with growth potential in the Tax Department for the right person. This person would report to the company’s General Counsel with a functional reporting responsibility to Lutron’s Tax Consultant. The eventual plan is to bring the tax compliance function in house. Thus, the successful candidate will be instrumental in that transition and ongoing compliance and planning efforts thereafter.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this position include:

· Initially responsible for liaising with Lutron’s accounting function to obtain the accounting and analytical data required by external compliance firms to prepare and complete income and indirect tax returns and payments accurately and timely
· Serve as the primary tax interface with Lutron’s ERP implementation team
· Serve as the primary contact for all U.S. and Canadian provincial, state and local indirect and income tax audits
· Function as the liaison with foreign service providers who perform indirect tax responsibilities on behalf of foreign affiliates.
· Perform analysis of income and indirect consequences of retail, online and service offerings and implementation of “best practices” process to deal with changing indirect tax landscape.
· Establish and supervise process for the creation, population and maintenance of customer sales tax exemption certificates
Qualifications Candidates should have the following qualifications:

· 3 - 5 years of relevant tax experience
· Must have strong communication and computer skills
· Working knowledge of ERP-driven indirect tax software
· Prior experience with an ERP implementation will be a very strong plus
· Bachelors degree in Accounting is a must
· CPA or a Masters level degree is a plus but not required
